I was given a psp slim with a broken screen. I replaced the screen then went about seeing how I could get homebrew onto it. I came across the ChickHEN R2 tiff exploit which permits one to run homebrew with out purchasing any additional hardware or changing the firmware. @xxsandrayxx yes it does and actually they are working on the hbl for the 6.31 and i didnt know lol but good thing i have another psp thats 5.50 so i will try the hbl on that

@efaustus9 I was afraid of that… I’ve been trying to find a solution without using a pandora battery, and there’s a lot of videos that advertise this on Youtube, but none of them are of any help… Well, I guess I’ll have to make a pandora… Thanks for the info~
does it work on a psp phat 1001? and should i really update my firmware from 3.90-5.03? im just wondering becuz if i do i think i wont be able to run as much homebrews as the earlier firmwares btw imma noob at this hacking psp stuff i just started yesterday

@wariomario123 you need cfw if you have a psp 1000 or 2000. If you have a psp 3000 you don’t need cfw but you need to be in hen mode which requires 5.03 OFW
Nice video, could you please tell me if the emulation drains a lot of battery? (Compared to playing games from Memory stickand UMD)

@SeanAbesto this exploit only works with fimware 5.03. Once you upgrade past 5.03 you need to use a different exploit or buy a pandora battery. PSP will not let you downgrade the firmware.
Probably more repetitive questions, but anyways, your video is EXTREMELY HELPFUL, but I have 5.50 official firmware on both my 2001 and 3001 Slim PSP’s and I can’t seem to downgrade to 5.03. I tried deleting the 5.50 version OFW off my memory stick, and copy/pasting the 5.03 OFW that you included in the description to my memory stick instead, and it doesn’t work; when I go to system info. , it still labels the firmware as 5.50. Anyone can help me? Without pandora battery or magic mem. stick plz.
